Beta Version For me

Hi there
But I don't feel like telling Hi to anyone today because I just received the following ominous and disheartening message  in my mail box.

"Ad Sense :The account associated with publisher ID ca-pub----has been disapproved. Learn more"

Well for you guys who are not into blogging, this won't be much, you will even wonder, What is the big deal? but for bloggers, especially the newbie’s like me who have $$$ signs in their eyes the world comes crashing down. Because you see without Ad Sense from Google your blog is pretty much useless monetarily, or rather it can not be monetized, (words that I picked up after I entered the blogging world )or meaning it won't make any money. Google Ad Sense is a program run by Google that allows publishers in the  Google Network of content sites   to serve automatic text, image, video, or interactive media advertisements, that are targeted to site content and audience. These advertisements are administered, sorted, and maintained by Google. They can generate revenue on either a per click or per impression basis . Of course, there are a lot many ad agencies paying you for your space on your blog, and then there is affiliate marketing, but Ad Sense has carved out a space of its own in the Blogging world, and every bloggers first wish is to get them on  line.

It seems Google and their Ad Sense have grown a lot stricter in their requirements since it launched around 2003. On its 10th anniversary in 2013 they had paid out  $7 Billion to more than 2 million publishers, (That is a lot of money for bloggers) they have more than 2 million advertisers , but the exact figures are not known , they never publish their data.

I had hammered out 17 articles before this wall hit me, my literary efforts stopped, the brain juices stopped flowing, the only thought going on in my mind was, What now?. I read and reread the posts by  Google and other bloggers, there were instances of Ad sense approval being given in cases where their English writing was not very good, post very  few, and all kind of hotchpotch and still, they succeeded.

Some of the reasons for your application to be rejected as per Google Website are as follows.

Your Website is Too New: In some markets, Goole has a stipulation of minimum 6 months of a blog’s existence  to be considered for Ad Sense.

Not Enough Content:  Content is king—we’ve all heard this stated before everywhere . Your  blog needs to provide value by answering a question or telling your visitor something he didn’t already know. You should ask yourself does it connect with the people you want to reach? Does it offer them something of value?

Poor Quality Content According to an analysis by Acrolinx  proprietary linguistics engine, almost 70 percent of companies are missing the mark for clarity and quality. Acrolinx even cited a study from Global Lingo, which found poor-quality content can sour sales chances  59 percent of consumers say they won’t buy from companies if they find bad grammar and spelling mistakes in their content.

Inappropriate Content : Publishers are not permitted to place Google ads or Ad Sense for search (AFS) search boxes on pages with adult or mature content. All kind of adult content , obscene material  and all content on these lines are frowned upon by Google.

Your Site is Malware Infected  If your website has malware on it, your hosting account's security was compromised and someone has uploaded malicious software on your site . It can be checked at http://www.google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=your domain name — if your website has malware, it should show a warning here.

Not Enough Organic Traffic : Meaning there are no original readers coming on to your site, that is readers who are  not coming in because of your personal interests.  There are billions of Internet users around the word and  there are thousands of people searching for information or hanging out in social media platforms. The fact that none of them (or only a few) visit your website then this means that you are doing something wrong.

Other reasons might be : Poor Quality Traffic , No Privacy Policy for your blog,  No Terms of Service mentioned on  your blog,  Bad Website Design that puts off readers,  Applying for Ad sense with a Site Not Your Own,  you are under age ie under 18 years of age ,  you are using Ads From Other Networks, though Google does not say so , it pretty obvious that they don’t like it when their high-quality ads have to compete for attention from other low-quality ones,  Unwanted Site Behaviour, getting others to click for you in order to drive up stats,  Your Site is Hard To Navigate, not having enough directions for your readers to know and move about your site (like mine, I have to change that), You’re Encouraging Users to Click on Ads,  Your Content is Mainly in an Unsupported Language, that is other than the 36 or so languages prescribed by Google,  No Google Advertising Cookie etc and Copyright Infringement.

Google states that “It is our policy to respond to notices of alleged infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). For Ad Sense publishers, if we receive a notice or otherwise have reason to believe that your site is infringing, we may terminate your participation in  the program.

There are a number of cases where Google has suspended Ad Sense in accounts for noncompliance of its give laid down rules.

As per a post by  Anastasia Almiasheva from the Ad Sense  team, there may be several reasons that your account may be suspended or  rejected.  They give 8 reasons which I am enumerating here in a compressed form.

1. Don’t click on your own ads :  Don’t click your own ads, or ask others to click them. These kinds of clicks won’t count toward revenue and may get you suspended clicking on your own ads is prohibited.

2. Think like a user
Make it easy for people to find what they’re looking for. Follow the Webmaster Guidelines to provide content that’s useful, interesting, and adds value.

 3. Keep it family-friendly and legal Review our guidelines about prohibited content and be sure you understand them

4. Maximize content, not ads per page Create new, relevant, interesting content, and update it regularly

5. Avoid deceptive layouts Keep ads away from games, slideshows, and other click-heavy content and don’t place them near images. Publishers may not use deceptive implementation methods to obtain clicks.

6. Create unique content Your content needs to create added value for your users. Focus on making content great – not duplicating it across pages. Unique and valuable content is what keeps users coming back

7. Track your traffic Your traffic should be organic. Set up alerts using Google Analytics to quickly identify unusual traffic patterns.

8. Follow the Code of Implementation Guide Always follow the Code Implementation Guide and don’t try to modify the Ad Sense code.

I will coming back again on these lines , till then let me rest and grieve and grieve for what could have been !!
